Court Approved
In order for DNA test results to be accepted as evidence of paternity by a Court of Law, the right procedures must be followed by the company undertaking the tests and issuing the results.
The laboratories at LGC are accredited by the Ministry of Justice. This means that LGC can undertake DNA relationship tests as directed by the civil courts in England and Wales under section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969 .
Please note that in all legal cases it is for the Court to consider questions of admissibility and weight of the results of the paternity test in accordance with the rules of evidence.
